Great new music

I'm not sure what beef the last reviewer has with this music. Bresnick more or less runs the Yale music department so he's obviously a well-informed composer. History will no doubt view him as a pivotal figure bridging the 20th and 21 centuries. This disc however fails to do justice to his breath of interest and style. Still it's compelling music and anyone mildly interested in new music will want to have this album. The Flux Quartet is stellar as is the Bang on a Can players. The extra track by Moore is worth the price alone. Take a chance and enjoy!
