ITS OWN KINDA STYLE!
Like the album! Reminds me of the too short days. I could roll with this on my way to Nabils 3
Funk and Rock Making Love!
The Closing Groove reminds me of the Soulful/Rock riffs the Isely Brothers used to put out! This song is Hendrixesque as well. FANTASTIC! A slow burning move of that place where funk and rock make love to the soul! While I am not hip on the profanity on some of the cuts - there is no doubt of the talent and musical arrangements on this album. Classy in the style of hip-hop jazz like J. Spencer (rest in peace brother) and Bob Baldwin's urban jazz is like sliding on satin sheets. Classy Lady and Jam's groove are like cuts also. It is refreshing to hear Real Musicians write and perform Real Music again and not the commercialized cuts to feed the status quo (hear me Kenny Gorelick?)
5 stars is what I wanted to give this but the profanity dims the light here.
