Album Review
Initially planned solely as a standard double-disc reissue in the wake of the blockbuster success of The Fame, Lady Gaga decided to release the new material as a separate EP called The Fame Monster in addition to the standard two-CD set, where it’s tacked onto a now standardized version of her debut. It’s a nice move for fans, plus it helps emphasize the new material, which does act as a bridge from the debut to a forthcoming full-length. Everything on The Fame Monster bears a galvanized Eurotrash finish, as evident on the heavy steel synths of “Bad Romance” and the updated ABBA revision “Alejandro,” as it is on the rock & roll ballad “Speechless” — its big guitars lifted from Noel Gallagher — and the wonderful, perverse march “Teeth.” Even the stuttering splices on “Telephone,” a duet with Beyoncé, leans to the other side of the Atlantic, which just emphasizes the otherness that’s become Gaga’s calling card. And even as she’s becoming omnipresent, with her songs mingling with those who co-opt her on the radio, she is still slightly skewed, willing to go so far over the top she goes beyond camp, yet still channeling it through songs that are written, not just hooks. The Fame Monster builds upon those strengths exhibited on The Fame, offering a credible expansion of the debut and suggesting she’s not just a fleeting pop phenomenon.

A Huge Monster Hit Album!!!
Lady GaGa has done it once again with her second studio album of 8 new tracks (you even get a bonus track, a remix of Bad Romance) that she put out as a "thank you" to all her wonderful fans she calls her "little monsters." This album is very influenced by European dance, German techno, and Goth synths, but is mainly a pure pop album. The stand out tracks on here are: the lead off single, Bad Romance which is currently #1 on both the iTunes singles & video charts, Monster (my personal favorite), Speechless (a song GaGa wrote for her father), Dance In the Dark, Telephone feat. Beyonce, and So Happy I Could Die. The whole album is really wonderful and truly amazing, but those are the best tracks. There will be a total of 4 singles to The Fame Monster to be released. What is great about this album is that you can complete your album to The Fame, by only purchasing, these 9 great new tracks to The Fame Monster! Not a bad deal for only $7.99!! Thank you Lady GaGa for giving us fans more fanstastic new music that you are sharing with the world, and this time it is personal and has nothing to do with The Fame. I love you GaGa!
GaGa Never Stops Topping Herself
After the success of Lady GaGa's debut, The Fame, one can't imagine she can do something that is better. However, she's done it. From "Bad Romance" to "Teeth," this album, while short, is much of better quality. As for recommendation, buying the whole album is my suggestion. It's short, but it is strong enough to, as GaGa said, stand on its own feet. There are very different themes and techniques used in every song; the songs represent Lady GaGa's own fears or "monsters." So all I should really say is "Buy It!" It's better than all its competitor albums that have been released lately. And it is definitely pop album of the year, if not album of the year.
TRUE TALENT
1st off...woohoo! 1st Review!!! I have so much respect for Lady Gaga. The girl went to school. She has perfected her art. She plays an instrument. Her voice isn't electrically enhanced. She writes amazing stuff. SO MUCH respect for an artist who worked SO hard for this. Kudos to her. Everything she does is golden and perfectly executed. I love Lady GaGa. See ya in Vegas biotch! xoxo
