Joyously refreshing

I'm always on the lookout for new and provocative new age music. Unfortunately, new age has become a genre that seems to be a catchall for any music that doesn't fit a particular genre. Maybe, that's all well and good. I would say this album has more of a world flavor to it.
You don't get a real sense of this album by previewing the songs, because like many songs which are five minutes or longer, you barely get into the musical theme within the thirty seconds alloted on itunes. So I'm hesitant to buy an album (which is by far the better deal).
This is my first exposure to John Adornay, and I am totally enthralled with the album. It's not often, an album captures my attention on first listening. He has accomplished this with relative ease; the songs are largely upbeat with melodic themes. If you can restrain your body from wanting to sway to the music, you're a better person than me. So, here is an album with some good instrumentation, with a little synthesis thrown in for variation, and not overdone.

He just keeps getting better and better

Well, I guess I'm not young anymore, because I want everyone to listen to John Adorney's music and discover the soul stirring body of work that this man's gifted mind has created. He is a genius. I hope one day to shake his hand and tell him how much his music means to me. I'm honored to write the first review for his amazing new album.
