Phenominal Debut
It's been a while since I've been handed an EP and been excited enough to write a review. This is an all-around solid album, though, with all three songs getting stuck in my head at one point or another.
Can't wait to hear the follow-up album. I see big things for Gambit in the future.
Best I've heard in a long time.
I think we are witnessing the next big thing. I listen to music all the time, with songs passing through my brain like water through the Hoover Dam. But this EP is different. It has the staying power of the bands we regard as iconic, yet they're a new band who are still honest and down-to-earth enough to seem like real people. Their lyrics in particular seemed very expressive.
All 3 songs were good, but "all the time in the world" is by far the best. It's a well-one, accesible pop song witha a catchy chorus and fantastic imagery. It's definitely a keeper.
Finally, I'd just like to add that if you don't like this EP then you should be living in a rubber-walled house.
"This Town" Is A Classic!!
This song is on non-stop rotation on the iPod for my long trips to NY and back. Has the cool airy intro to the beginning that goes into this cool modern pop verse you can't help but tap your feet to. Before you know it you're banging your head and singing along to the greatness of GAMBIT!!
