Wonderful, articulate and effortless playing - a jewel.
Every now and then, an artist comes along who redefines and reshapes tradition and makes us take notice. For me, Andy's guitar playing and his compositions have brought something new to the table, and even eclipses some of our most beloved acoustic guitar heroes. He is creating a new standard from which other guitar players will find inspiration for many years to come. With Andy, one hears the echoes of Hedges and Ross, and other acoustic guitar pioneers, but he has shaped music that is uniquely his own. By adding strong solid melodies, a sense of groove, flawless technique and what must be very prudent decisions, he allows the listener to experince a melody and breathe within a song - he can dazzle us with technique but yet never sacrifices the beauty of the song with clutter or silly guitar-head fireworks. He has learned at an early age about how taste, choices and editing allows a melody to free itself from the instrument, and does so with effortless technique. Wonderful, Beuatiful! For me, your music has already a difference.

I was really looking forward to his next cd and the wait was worth it. Gates to gnomeria is all I have been playing on my ipod for the last week. Love this CD!!!
