A collection of sonic gems
This second album from reclusive composer Australis came in the nick of time for Christmas, as it is a remarkable present for the discerning new age and electronic music listener. Filled with fourteen tracks of pure evocation, and enough material for a thousand dreams, this compilation is bound to have something for everybody. Want ethereal and relaxing soundscapes?, you'll find them in The Gates of Reality. Want dreamy vocals capable of stirring your conscience?, you will find them on this album. Want epic orchestral movements painting dramatic passages?, you'll find them within this disc. Want heart pounding rhythms seasoned with outlandish electronic melodies?, you got them. All in all, this release is a series of surprises - pleasant and intense all of them - destined to become powerful sensorial experiences for the listener. A highly recommended release for those seeking deeper within their own souls.
Beautiful
Not as good as Australis's first album. There aren't as many stand out tracks, rather this album seems to gel more as a whole. It would definitely work well if your reading a fantasy novel, creative writing or just want to escape reality for a while. Overall I would say this is a beautiful album with lush melodies and some spoken word/poetry mixed in.
Great music! The Hoodoo's Whisper is the most....
precious song on the cd. I love it!! Hope the artist moves more in this direction. "The Hoodoo's Whisper" is very dreamy, like it came out of a soundtrack, then ends with nice ending. The whole cd is great! Buy it!
