This Is Outdoors Music

WARNING: This album might sound very bad if played indoors. Listen to at your own risk indoors. Overall this really isn't a Peter Gabriel album. The band had to start somewhere I guess. After all they we've missing Hackett and Collins. This a very calming album, like all 60s "fuzz" songs. Don't expect much out of this album at all! If you're familiar will other good Genesis albums ("Trespass"- "...And Than There Were Three...") and you expect a "Foxtrot" or "Lamb Lies Down On Broadway" you'll really in for a horrible album. The only songs really worth pointing out above the rest here would be... "Where The Sour Turns To Sweet" (6/10 overall) "In The Beginnig" (8/10 overall. Great song for anyone!) "In The Wilderness" (8/10 overall. Sounds like a happy "White Moutian" from "Trespass") "The Silent Sun" (9/10 overall. I really like it.) "A Winter's Tale" (6/10 overall.) and "Going Out To Get You" (6/10. Not one this album check the "Box Set") All of the other songs are like a 2 or 3 overall. One thing I found very funny out of this album was that Phillip's guitar was almost the same in every song! Haha. Man are we lucky that Hackett joined the band when he left. Ha. Oh and about the outdoors thing, you have to listen to it outside to make it sounds really good! On a summer day, winter snow storm, rainy day, or in the Fall. My favorite is snow storm! So for this album 2 stars. It's worth a listen though. Not a buy.

Gee whiz

Can't i-tunes just get "Lamb Lies down on Broadway" and "Foxtrot?" Those are the best Gabriel albums, after all.

Don't be fooled ...

This is actually a re-release of "From Genesis To Revelation" with additional tracks. The "2006" versions are not re-recordings, but remixes of the original (and really not that different either). The demoes are all found on the first Archives collection. None of this is new in any way. This is just a cheap attempt at getting more money out of you. Stick to the other albums
