they've gone soft/lame/mainstream
whatever happened to the Athlete that wrote "You Got The Style" and "Westside", hell where did the Athlete go that wrote "Tourist" even? At least that had soul and was interesting. This is utter manufactured crap.
Finally, it's in the US iTunes Store
Athlete is a great band and no amount of bashing will destroy the high rating of this album.
Getaway EP
I am a huge Athlete fan and have successfully introduced them to many friends here in the USA, but I tend to agree with the "They've Gone Soft, etc." review of kshelton. The early songs he mentioned (You've Got The Style, Tourist, West Side et al) were almost shockingly original and utterly memorable, but these are, well, basically just tuneful middle of the road pop songs. Only my unswerving allegiance gets them the third star.
