Hard to top their first album

I love this band but I must say that this album was not nearly as great as the first one, still a great album , you should buy it, now.

Funky Perfection!!

If you don't get DOWN when you hear "the new f**k You" then something is wrong with you!!! The Coup and Rage sound more blended now, Boots got better with Chorus' and his funk from the Coup blend perfect with Morellos trademark 'hidden' funk guitar riffs. Best album of the summer!

Decent album, but short.

I love Street Sweeper Social Club's first album, 100 little curses because I loved Tom Morello's guitar wizardry and Boots Riley's wonderful lyricism separately; and when put together it made for a really original blending. I really don’t agree with people who say that SSSC is trying to be like RATM, because it’s totally different. RATM had a “punch you in the face with our message” vibe and brought their music loud, furious and hard mixing underground-style rap with metal. SSSC, on the other hand, takes an almost comedic and ironic approach by having groove-worthy, funky music juxtaposed against biting lyrics.

That being said, this album does deliver a few tracks that are very, very good. Unfortunately, the album is very short and 3 of the songs aren't original productions (two rap covers and one song "Promenade: guitar fury remix" is an extended version of the song fromt he first album). This leaves the album with only 4 original songs. For me, this was a little disappointing, because I would have liked to have heard more originality from Tom and Boots. However, it did have a reduced price ($8 instead of the usual $12 or $13 from itunes), so it was still worth it for me.
