Waiting...
I've been waiting forever for the song "From Where I'm Standing" but this version is different from the version she sang in the movie "I'm Reed Fish". I wish there was an acoustic version. Other than that, I love her music!
The SPECTACULAR Stuff
Schuyler Fisk (pronounces Sky-ler) has finally arrived and has come a long way since acting. "The Good Stuff", Schulyer's debut album, is the best compilation I've come across in a long time and definitely the best ever from a debut artist! There's indie, acoustic, poprock, and even bluegrass-sounding influences in her music, and that mixed with her subtle, strong, and sweet voice erases all doubt about just how amazing this CD is. You will rock out, mellow out, and belt out to all 14 tracks and their highly addictive lyrics! There is something for everyone in "The Good Stuff." It doesn't matter whether you're young or old, man or woman, east coast or west coast- anyone can find something they like right here! I randomly went to the first stop on her U.S. tour with Ben Taylor headlining, and I was blown away. Her voice and music brought people in from the streets of the city! There's NO way you CAN'T fall in love! Schuyler Fisk is bound to be a household name very quickly, so don't be left behind! Here's your chance to get a jump start and invest in one of the best up and coming artists of the generation! BEST MONEY I EVER SPENT! Every song is a journey... so get started!
Worth the wait! Buy It!
I stumbled onto Schuyler's website in the spring of 2006, the site was streaming "That's Virginia" and "Hello", within seconds I was hooked. Her voice is amazing and her lyrics are extremely relatable. Needless to say I've been waiting for this album for a long time, it was worth the wait and I’m so excited to have it! I'm bummed "That's Virginia" isn't on this one, I've heard that it will be on the next one, fingers crossed we won't have to wait another 3 years! But if we do I'm glad I have The Good Stuff and Songs For Now to keep me occupied. Don't hesitate to buy this album and any other album that has Schuyler Fisk on it for that matter (The Last Kiss, Penelope, Catch & Release, and more) you will not be disappointed. To all Schuyler Fisk fans out there if you have an opportunity to go see Schuyler live, go do it, she puts on a fantastic show and is super nice, she greets fans at her merch table after the show.
