Album Review
Competing nicely with the earlier Time After Time: The Best of Cyndi Lauper, Columbia/Legacy's The Essential Cyndi Lauper features most of the '80s icon's big hits as well as lesser-known album tracks. Considering the inconsistent nature of Lauper's albums, it is nice to find tracks like "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and "True Colors" packaged alongside "Sisters of Avalon" and "Who Let in the Rain." Most Lauper fans will already own these songs, but for casual fans, The Essential Cyndi Lauper will do the trick.

TIME AFTER TIME!!!!
by muzicbug:)I am not the tipicle bloger/judge/critic but when I first heard this song I was not very impressed. I was actually very dissapointed in Miss Cyndi Lauper. But after I heard hersing it on American Idol I changed my mind. This song is actually pretty good. I think you should be willing to try it out and buy it and listen to it. I think I would have to say my favorite song is TIME AFTER TIME!!!
Classic 80's songs!
by ericfrompittFor those of us born in the 80's, Cyndi Lauper may have been before our time. She was one of the most dynamic and original performers of the 80's. With her new album "Bring Ya To The Brink" released, I decided to check out her older songs and some songs by her I wasn't familiar with. Her songs sound like a mix of The Go-Go's and Madonna. I didn't realize she had so many hits in the 80's. Some songs like "All Through The Night" I forgot about but others like the ballad "Time After Time" I remembered from hearing on the radio. Whether you're newer to Cyndi Lauper's music like me or a big fan, this album is certainly worth the purchase. For only $9.99 it's worth it with all these classic 80's campy songs.
