This man ROCKS!
As much as I am eclectic, this guy is amazing...I love acoustic and he nails every single song with amazing heart and soul...the fact that it's Christian music is a huge plus. You MUST buy this album...you won't be sorry...Derek Webb has something a lot of artists don't necessarily have...you can close your eyes and feel what he's feeling while he's belting out the words. Derek, you are awesome!!!
more than just music
The message of the songs in this album is eye opening to any christian growing in their faith. Derek Webb displays the gospel of Jesus and our role as christians in a very truthful and to-the-point way. I highly recommend buying this whole album; its worth it just to buy the intros to the songs.
Honest, raw, truthful, beautiful
Not only is Derek Webb's music artistically discerning, but the raw passion he chooses to present cannot be mistaken for anything other than the beauty of truth. The words he sings deny apathetic comfort, but reflect the heart of Christianity - a bride's great unfaithfulness, and a Lover's still greater love. This album accurately captures the essence of one of Derek's live performances, including his insightful views on Christ and the Church. It is sure to challenge, provoke, and encourage you.
