iTunes Review

A favorite of hardcore B-boys and beatheads around the world, Diamond D is a legendary producer/emcee best known for his work with Diggin in the Crates and his undeniably classic 1992 debut album, Stunts, Blunts, and Hip Hop. Over the last 20 years he's worked with countless artists from both coasts, including The Fugees, Pharcyde, Big L, Fat Joe, KRS-One, OutKast, and Bumpy Knuckles. The Huge Hefner Chronicles is his first studio album since 1997's Hatred, Passions, and Infidelity, and it finds him focusing more on rhyming while letting various other producers (Nottz, Jesse West, Illmind, DJ Scratch, etc.) handle most of the tracks. Diamond's mellow, near-monotone flow and old-school rhyme style still sound good, but his exceptional beatwork is sorely missed. While not as crucial as his older material, this is definitely better than most rap coming out these days. Check out the Def Jef–produced "It'll Be Alright," "I Wanna Leave," and "Baby."

Definately Diamond!!!

Apparently. the only thing Diamond D is lacking is promotional backing. I had no idea that he was about to hit the market with something new. Hip Hop is in a state of creative confusion. Diamond's contribution is reminiscent of a better effort, and work ethic on the Hip Hop Timeline! Excellent, Diamond don't keep us waiting for your next joint! We need a D.I.T.C. reunion. Peace, JNESS

D.I.T.C.

This is hip hop at it's finest. The production is incredible, get to know this!

D.I.T.C.

I would expect nothing less from Diamond. Always has fire for that a*#!! Good Work!

Veteran hip-hop producer Diamond D has helped out with several of rap music's most acclaimed LPs, including A Tribe Called Quest's The Low End Theory and the Fugees' The Score. In 1992, he recorded his first solo album, the underground classic Stunts, Blunts & Hip-Hop (which was released as by Diamond & the Psychotic Neurotics). Although it never sold very many copies, it increased his status, and he worked with Illegal, House of Pain, KRS-One, and the Pharcyde during the mid-'90s. A host...
