Be a smart shopper
Easily his best effort
I've enjoyed isolated tracks from Steve's earlier discs, but this is the first time I've gotten excited about an entire album. Yes they're covers, but he truly reinterprets each of them to the point where they sound fresh. Moreover, everything is polished (none of the 'noise' from his live CDs) – it's just a wonderful interplay of piano and vocals.
