Album Review

The Last Drag follows the same formula as the other Samples records, but it's a bit disjointed and overlong, preventing it from becoming a consistently enjoyable album. Nevertheless, there are several fine moments on the album — it just takes a little longer to find them.

The Last Drag

The perfect Samples album. The Streets in the Rain is by far their best song, an anthem for this band. Everytime, is a beautiful song, simple in it's style and lyric, it begs to be played for a Sunday couch, two lovers and good coffee. The drumming is something to behold. JEEP, where are you? Can't go wrong with this album

Worth my money EVERY time!

This has been one of my favorite albums in the past ten years. I have purchased this album four times because friends have "borrowed" it or the CD ended up too scratched over time. I never minded buying this album because it is always worth the money and is timeless. Streets in the Rain is my favorite followed by Little Silver Ring. By far the best album put out by the group.

The Samples - The Last Drag

I have every album they have done and seen them so many times I have lost count, but I think this was the band at their very best. Jeep is great on this album and wood even gets to sing on "prophet of doom". Maybe not the best starter Samples album but I think the best hands down.

With none of their albums deviating from their folky, Sting-meets-the...
