Good stuff!
Andy Hackbarth has got a way of putting clever lyrics and catchy melodies together that is sorely missing in today's music. This one's definately worth the purchase... the album is great from the top down. I especially like 'The Last Love Song' and 'Makin' Love in the Backseat'. I've also heard him live with a full band and solo with just a guitar and mic. It's always a good time!
Andy Hackbarth is a pure genius!
This album has many great moments, in particular I love Suicide, Seven Steps, and Last Love Song. There is something deeply personal and nostalgic about them. Great songwriting, singing and playing!!
One of the best records of 2010. and 2011.
It's just a REALLY well done record. The songs are good. they're smart. they're well written and very well produced. It's a record that can be listened to over and over again, and the listener will never get tired of it.
"The Last Love Song" is one of the most beautiful songs in recorded music history. The funk-brass part in 7 steps is amazing, and most importantly, the vocal prowess of Andy is perfect. Highly recommended record.
