This EPic release is without a doubt, a breath of fresh air in the San Antonio Music Scene. Alas, we have Through Arteries in the spotlight. These guys are magnificently talented on stage with their over the top lights and vocal effects. Its was obvious that these guys strive for perfection and success when i first saw them, but when i listened to all 6 tracks on this thing, i was impressed even further. Their thoughtful song writing and layerings are just unbelievable to hear in a Local band. Local band; i don't like attaching that phrase to these guys anymore, because they exceed almost every expectation one would have for a local band's "EP". The things i would like to point out about this EP are its above-par craftsmanship, its catalog of ideas, and its simplicity. The production is awesome, and listenable among some other National bands out there, the combination of screams and cleans has a natural flow to it, and never seems forced. The lyrics itself show the genius of its creators. Above all, i love how every song is under 4 minutes. Most musicians can agree its hard to keep it simple when you got ideas flowing out of your pores, but these guys have discovered the secret of artistic control in the tense of conveying a message. There was not one point in this record where i was bored, and inattentive. alot of other amateur bands just cram breakdown,chorus,2step one after another with no musical flow or climax, I am proud that im not hearing that here. One thing i don't really care for in this is the album's overuse of the synth. Granted, the synth is rather clever, but gets a little excessive. I would like to hear this band hit it a bit harder on the guitars, even on the production side. Also, i felt like not all vocals should've been auto-tuned. I kind of get tired of hearing it after the six tracks, i wanna hear this guy really belt it on his own cords, i bet it sounds awesome! But other than that minor setback, this is a golden release in my book, and i am proud to say that i know these guys personally as my peers. Congrats Through Arteries, you are on your way to great things, this i know for certain.

a HUGE step for the underground
When I think of the hardcore genre, I think of precision and skill. Through Arteries in this release, proves that you don't need a fancy producer to do these things. Imagine a "Austin Carlile" scream but with lows, and clear mature cleans such as Jamie's Elsewhere on the vocal portion. Guitars : think Asking but with a twang. Bass : think Grant brandell with faster fingers. Drums : think Daniel Williams. And while you're thinking this imagine....this is self produced, and word on the street is they are recording with over 500,000 record selling producer Joey Sturgis. Enough Said. These fine young men surely are going somewhere and have stepped up quality sound and production in the underground genre of harcore

Good Album
This is a really well put together EP. Fans of Attack Attack, Asking Alexandria, and Abandon all Ships will defiantly like this album, hopefully a full album release will come in the near future.
