Wowww, some new comer she is!
Ms. Toprak truly tops her self with the georgeous score of this film. One of her previous scores, i.e. Behind Enemy Lines (Axis Of Evil) was quite succesful and received rave reviews. This score is far removed from that one. Here we have her writing a totally different score with motifs of Americana.
Evidently her star is rising and she is getting her name on bigger projects as is evidenced by this album. The film may not be a box office blockbuster since it's about life and humans and not high-tech computer wizardry and explosions. In a business which is traditionally dominated by men, it's refreshing to see that someone like Pinar Toprak is about to join ranks with the likes of highly skilled Rachel Portman, Debbie Wiseman etc.
This Turkish born composer shows why she is ascending so rapidly after having worked with Mr. Hans Zimmer. One has to simply listen to her music.
I strongly recomend this album. It is simply beautiful!
