itunes, you definitely shocked me...in a good way
I've been looking for this score for years. Ever since I saw the film I've been looking for it. I've been checking itunes for the past two years and pretty much gave up after realizing that a lot of good scores are left to dust away. I have been checking for a score for "uncle buck" forever and now come to hear that Ira newborn never released the score. With the movie "Lady jane," Stephen Oliver's score was not only unreleased, but barely even credited in the film. Insanely I thought, "why don't I just check it again even though it hasn't been there the last million times I've looked" and voila! itunes is usually the last place I check to find the hard to finds, but after this my faith in itunes has been firmly planted. side note: Habanera is my favorite song on this album. Newman is amazing.
A Great Newman Score
Habanera and Shut Up Pedro are beautiful tracks. This is one of Newman's most interesting pieces. It's clear that this is the same composer who gave us The Player, another terrific Newman score. Definitely a must for fans of Newman.
