Album Review
Northern California-based producer/remixer Carmen Rizzo's first album under his own name features a long list of collaborators, mostly breathy-voiced women who provide the album's whispery lead vocals over Rizzo's subtle downtempo beats. (Jem, Royskopp's Kate Havenevik, and Digable Planets' Ladybug Mecca are the biggest female names, while alterna-folkie Grant Lee Phillips also steps up to the mike on the yearning "Snowflakes.") Mixing sounds softly acoustic and proudly synthetic, Rizzo rarely falls into the weedy "folktronica" trap of merely pretty chillout tunes, instead reaching for and often attaining a cinematic, sweeping sound akin to Portishead or Goldfrapp. Mellow and ambient but not wallpaper-ish, The Lost Art of the Idle Moment maintains active listener interest throughout.

One of my favorite albums out there
I'm a huge fan of Telefon Tel Aviv, and I was looking for some stuff by either Josh Eustis or Charlie Cooper and found the "Too Rude Cooper remix". It is all I was expecting out of TTA, but an interest in the rest of the material led me to buying the Rizzo album, heh I'm very satisfied with this purchase. All great songs. Get this, its good, trust me.

I also found this by looking for Telefon Tel Aviv, but they spelled the name wrong in the song title. Anyway, great jam, well worth buying the Charlie Cooper mix. I didn't buy the rest, but I'm interested in doing so.
