The Lost Get Found finds the Christian singer/songwriter aiming between the defiant drive of Superchick and the playful bounce of Krystal Meyers in her approach. Nicole paints her message of faith with day-glo colors, achieving a shimmering effect both sonically and lyrically. Tracks like “Welcome to the Show,” “Glow,” and “Like a Star” pulsate to urgent techno beats, rousing the Spirit as they grab the body. “Feel the Light” and “Hanging On” are a bit slower and smoother, allowing Nicole to test her wings as an urban pop chanteuse. The theme of surrender to divine Love is a reoccurring one, found in the breezy “Walk on the Water” as well as the dramatic “Have Your Way.” While her tone remains positive, the Avril Lavigne-ish “Headphones” adds a teasing edge to Nicole’s general sweetness. The title track is the album’s centerpiece, a self-empowering anthem set to a swaying groove. Throughout The Lost Get Found, Britt sounds confident and engaged, nudging her audience to embrace higher truths even as she invites them to dance.
