Off to a great start
Many artists struggle to capture the energy and vitality of their live show when it's time to go into the studio. Such is not the case here: the fun, engaging, sometimes self-deprecating personality that Mal brings to the stage is well-represented here. Her music has something to say, without taking things too seriously, but when she is being serious, she's real, and not over-dramatic or preachy about it. The Mal Blum Album is a great start from a great artist/performer. The potential is definitely there for her to take this a long way, and it wouldn't surprise me if, a little further down the road, she comes up with an absolute classic.
I LOVE MAL BLUM
iiiii'm lucky enough to go to college with the fantastical (fantastic+magical) mal bum. and...i try and see every show i can why? BECAUSE ITS AMAAAZIIIING. the music is amazing. in every which way shape and form. 5 stars. her new album is pretty awesome. hopefully it'll be available soon.
