spectacular!

I can't stop listening to this cd! I saw them in Nashville, TN the other night. They opened for two bigger named artists and they absolutely stole the show! You can listen to this cd from beginning to end and over and over again and never get bored! Incredibly nice guys and and incredible musicians! BUY THIS CD! You won't regret it.

And the Disc of the Day belongs not to one of our Big Names, but to the upstarts of The Nobility, whose album drops July 31. Buy and believe. The Nobility used to be Jetpack, "but another band had the copyright or at least a better lawyer and so a name change occurred," it says here. The new CD, The Mezzanine, is quite an amazing arrangement accomplishment. These are brilliantly crafted tracks with orchestrations featuring tuba, sax, French horn, cello and other textures. Think Sgt. Pepper era Beatles or mid-period Kinks and you'll have the general idea. In addition to this jaunty CD opener, check out the yummy, layered, propulsive popster "Halleluiah Chorus" or the sputtering Queen-ish "Let Me Hang Around." Beware: This is one highly addictive record. -- Robert K. Oermann

A Finely Crafted Album

I first became a fan of these guys back in 2001 when their rough and ragged 60's rock blew me away. To see how they have progressed as a band (and Sean Williams as a songwriter) is exciting and impressive. This is an album that was obviously crafted with great care...the arrangements are spectacular...the sound is warm and the songs themselves unique. This is a fantastic record.

Amiable indie rockers the Nobility formed in Nashville, TN, in the early 2000s with multi-instrumentalists Sean Williams, Stephen Jerkins, and Brian Fuzzell. Originally referring to themselves as Jetpack UK, the group was forced to adopt another name in early 2007 when a group that went by a similar name threatened the fledgling indie rockers with legal trouble.
