In a completely just world...

...everyone would know about Bill Deasy. His artistry does not come with the trappings of popular art. There is no "back story" to inspire publicists, so you don't read about him. He does not live outrageously, so you don't hear about him on Entertainment Tonight. But inside his head swirl images that only he can paint into life. Inside his head are lyrics that capture the essence of longing better than any songwriter I know. He can create a sense of place, time and circumstance in a way that few novels do. (And he's written one of those, too.) If you have never heard a Bill Deasy song, listen to "Blue Highways" several times, then buy the album. If you're among the fortunate who have been following his career for the last decade or so, you're in for a treat.

5+ stars

Bill Deasy is not just one of the best artists in Pittsburgh but one of the best in the country. I'm just happy I get to see so many of his live shows. Buy this CD as well as all of the Gathering Field CD's on here. Go to his website to buy his other releases. You won't be disappointed. He just keeps getting better and better and I hope he has a lot of music left in him because I can never get enough of it.

Bill Deasy Rocks!!!

So Bill Deasy came to our school in Pittsburgh today to teach us "Your Home!" I thought it was a great song so I had to come to iTunes and buy the album and single!!!
