Makes you realize how good Andy Williams is
Look, Mr. Weiland deserves credit for the effort. More contemporary singers should try their hand at a Christmas album. However, the arrangements, for the most part, seek to duplicate the traditional style of Andy Williams and fall far, far short. Weiland's voice warbles and wobbles without the silk smoothness or powerful notes of the traditional versions. Not pretty to listen to and not edgy at all. Somehow, people are raving about this. I suspect those people are really just hipsters. I fear that this will take hold and dominate 24 hour Christmas radio stations this winter.
