Comedy is supposed to be funny
I listen to a lot of comedy cd's and I listen to a lot of stand up comedy. I appreciated this comic's attempt at being different in the tradition of Mitch Hedberg, Demitri Martin, and flight of the conchords, however these comedians are funny! Brent Weinbach needs to worry less about being off beat and edgy and worry more about writing jokes that make people laugh. So put down the crazy keyboard sounds, forget about the cooky voices, and try to come up with some jokes that are organized and make you laugh or at least giggle. To be frank this cd just annoyed me and I found it to be a waste of money.
A Really Original Comedy Voice
In more ways than one, I suppose. The first time I saw Brent I wasn't buying it until about halfway through his set. And I found myself laughing uncontrollably. If you're a fan on non-traditional comedy, get this whole album. One track here and there doesn't do it justice.
Comic genius
Brent Weinbach is one of the most refreshingly original comic voices today. This album, a mix of bizarre monologues, songs and performances is well worth the price of download. Hey iTunes, how about making Weinbach's other comedy album available too?
