The Only One - Single

A Perfect Storm

     

In Andy Lange's latest single, he leaves behind production for production's sake, and takes an honest approach at a shot-in-the-dark interpretation of his own life. A risk, to be sure, this may come off as either phony or as genuine as it gets. I can tell you with my whole heart that it is the latter. At face value, the song is catchy enough to attract the most casual listener. At it's core, it is a triumph. To an Andy Lange fan, "The Only One" is more than just a step in the right direction. Taking for granted that Lange wouldn't have left his M.O. in the dust, the occasional rhyme-rhyme, verse/chorus pattern does nothing to detract from the warmth and honesty of his latest diary entry. With the addition of Stephanie Fomin on backing vocals, Lange outsources the fifth element in his perfect storm.
