Whimsical, dreamy
Ah, Oren Lavie! His music seems to peek into the ordinary niches in life and pull out the extraordinary, the beautiful. Lilting, sleepy songs that both cover and reveal the heartache underneath. Very dreamy--he tells you rather strange things, about rather strange people, but in a normal, conversational tone--so you think for him they may be totally normal. But! In one word, he tells you: it's not.
Soulful
I agree with the only other reviewer to date...truly amazing earthy voice. I really think he is the reincarnation of Nick Drake, definately getting this album.
Great Album
Not sure why this album doesn't have any reviews yet. Its phenomenal. And take the time to check out the music video for Her Morning Elegance. Brilliantly done.
