More complex, and polished than the first.
The sterotype is that a band has a first album with some success, and they go safer and more middle-of-the-road for the second. Yaakov Chesed has broken that mold to pieces, and done it beautifully with The Passage. The music is wonderfully complex and intricate even on the more straighforwad rock tunes. There is a lot more variety on instrumentation and style as well. The vocals are top rate, all the members contribute to the vocals beautifully whether in English or Hebrew.
As with their first album, this is a beautiful priase of HaShem, their love of their Jewish faith, and of Israel. You can't go wrong with The Passage.

but i already have my favorites of this one - hamalach and simcha.
