Must Buy!!
This album is a must buy. It combines simplistic melodies and funky basslines with insane drumming and spacey keys. The vocalist is one of the best I've heard in awhile, utilizing his impressive vocal range with beautiful and catchy lyrics. This is also the best use of violin in contemporary music, complimenting each song perfectly. You must catch this band live as well; as mind-blowing as this album is, these songs will blow other (more pleasurable) body parts in concert. I'm confident this group of musicians will have a long and successful career so do yourself a favor and start loving their music now, rather than later.

Awesome.
I bought this album when The People performed with a couple of other bands in Minneapolis, and totally stole the show. This is an excellent debut from a group who should be Minnesota's next great local artist, and I can't wait for a follow-up.
