It's Nice To See Mc's Taking their Profession Seriously in Times of Banaltiy

Sincee i first peeped him for my first time on "Detroi Deli" I've been waiting for Elzhi to drop a solo effort and he doesnt dissappoint. This is one of the best albums of '08 if not the best. When Elzhi raps, he crafts his words like a samurai sword and it cuts razor sharp. Need Proof? Just watch him flip acronyms on DEMONS. That's all the proof needed but he goes out of his way to give you fifteen more tracks of lyrical genius. It's hard to describe what he does in words, you just have to LISTEN!!! (which is completely different than hearing) The brag tracks brag but he does it like no other before him has done it ("i hold arms like shoulder discus" line in Brag Swag made me literally lol). I like how his "for the ladies" tracks (love transitional and save ya) arent dumbed down for females. My only gripe is that the original Fire track didnt make the cut. It had some his best verses ever on it. (it can be downloaded off the internet if you look hard enough) With Black Milk handling most of the production (that man couldn't make a wack beat if he tried) this is a solid joint from two dudes from the D' comparable to a Pete Rock & CL Smooth classic but with featured rappers and producers. It's just good music that goes deeeper than any "Real Hip Hop" ideology pretentious fans want to give it but refuses to be diluted for the mainstream. Download this then buy a real copy and encrust it with jewels.

Elzhi continues great work!

Easily one of the best albums of 2008. Elzhi has always been a great emcee and gets to show he can do it on his own with this solo album. He's truly come very far over the years. His Witness My Growth mixtape showed you that and his work with Slum Village has been great. I believe this album tops it all though. Every track is doope and Elzhi gets Black Milk to handle most of the production. Great guest like Rocye Da 5'9, T3, Guilty Simpson and Phat Kat all add to this. But this is Elzhi's show and he doesn't disappoint.

as far as lyricism and superior flow, nobody has it like elzhi...one of if not the most underrated in the game
