iTunes Review

Brash young female vocalists have been popping up in Christian music ever since Rebecca St. James made her initial bow in the ‘90s. Inhabited’s lead singer Sara Acker is decidedly of this ilk — she possesses both St. James’ fierce, slightly slurred delivery and her fervent commitment to God. But, as The Revolution reveals, Inhabited has another key inspiration: No Doubt. The careening melodies and hyperactive ambiance found on the band’s debut album are suggestive of Gwen Stefani’s zany punk-pop combo. Acker’s swoops and growls on “Rescue Me” and “Where Are You (Angel)” suggest spiritual anguish filtered through a panic attack. More effective are such relatively subdued numbers as “You Are My Peace” (a reverently-rocking waltz) and “One More Night” (a poignant ballad addressed to a homeless girl), and the title track channels the band’s kinetic energy into a genuinely rousing anthem. The Revolution scores points for its churning guitar attack and eclectic mix of retro-rock and modern dance pop.

Join the Revolution!!

This album is powerful and moving. This band speaks from the heart and challenges listeners to break from thier comfort zones and truly Revolutionize this world for Jesus! Great Album, worth every cent. You will want to listen over and over again!

Awesome First Album

This album rocks and rolls with a clear and honest mesage. Sara has a very unique voice which stands out in the crowd. This is their first album; I can't imagine what their next one will be like. But it's the lyrics that got to me; Sara seems to relate so well to my struggles, it's amzing. If you are young or old and female, get this CD! Check out her revolution website; she has a heart of love for the needy and forgotten.

Post Innerview Please!

Inhabited is by far the most underestimated woman-fronted rock outfit in the Inspirational genre and beyond. Their sound is raw and powerful and Sara's vocals are very unique. They might be best described as Leigh Nash morphed with Jennifer Knapp stirred in with some chemical X or pixie dust all her own. The music is simply amazing. Marcus's guitar work shines but only really finds its true potential on their independent release Innerview, an album that I hope finds its way onto here. Get out and see an Inhabited concert live, it's worth the drive. Later and God bless.
