Album Review
On The Ritual, Testament moved away from their trademark speed-metal and began exploring slower, heavier territory. Instead of sounding like a retreat, the group sounds re-energized by the change in direction, as guitarist Alex Skolnick spits out a series of brutal riffs that manage to form memorable, powerful songs.
Customer Reviews
Awsome!!!!
First of all, Metallica never became "posers" untill they released Load and eventually St. Anger. Anyway, this is a very good cd. It is a lot different than their older albums, but, it is still great. I do though prefer Practice What You Preach over this cd. That does not make this cd any less good though. TESTAMENT RULES!!!!!
Slower, but good!
This album is slower than their other albums, but is still just as powerful! This album would be more for someone who's already been a fan for a while. For a first listener, check out The Gathering, their best album in my honest opinion! It Defines what metal and Testament is all about.
A phenomenal album by all standards
This album, albeit more commercial than Testament's previous and post-Ritual efforts, is still one of my top 10 favorite albums of all time! This particular album/CD gets played in my car atleast once a week and every week since it was released May 12th, 1992.
