The Road Back

The New Arrivals do return very well!!

     

A few years back I happened upon a CD called "Finally" by The New Arrivals. It was a unique album in that it was never released when it was done 1967 until 2002. After 35+ years it was in my estimation a tragedy the world never got it until then. I was content to know that they somehow made it to the edge of recognition and that the band had some "finally" overdue recognition for authentic 60's music which they were played with excellence. Now I find that they have released a new CD in the style of the one 38 years ago not to mention the fact that it is the original members who have written all the tunes and performed them accordingly. "Showtime" tells the story of their return to performing on a trip to LA which was for a pop festival. The whole arrangement sets the mood and expectation of what the next 11 songs will be. You got to believe me when I say that I am really glad that these guys have gotten back together and that they have an instant catalog of music available in cyber space. Take the time to listen and you will agree that there is something special going on with the music and the spirit that says you can come back and play like you did before. Good job. "The Road Back" will also stand the test of time for The New Arrivals' genre of 60's sounds.
