Wow
Reid continues to blow my mind! I had no idea how diverse his percussion training had been before listening to this masterpiece. Asian percussion is considered quite complex and difficult to master in the world of music. The fact that Reid can pull this off in such and EXCELLENT way is proof that he is among the BEST IN THE WORLD!
taiko madness, earthy deliciousness
Like Africa, I like Asia because the grounding and earthy sound challenges me... as a dancer. The taiko causes a different reaction in my body and forces me to move in new ways, which I love! I also found that the intensity of this particular album is ideal for contact improv! Get some friends in the studio and see what comes...
