A gifted, perpetually underrated MC from Bed-Stuy Brooklyn, Skyzoo has been putting in work for many years, collaborating with superstar producers like 9th Wonder and J Dilla, as well as North Carolina's Justus League collective. Lyrically, he shuns the stereotypical murder/drug/party styles, instead rhyming primarily about real life issues, whether that is family, day-to-day existence, or his ongoing struggle to blow up in the rap game against bigger names with lesser skills. After unleashing numerous mixtapes over the years, The Salvation is his first "real" album, released in 2009 as a collaboration between Jamla and NYC indie powerhouse Duck Down Records. Sixteen joints deep, with absolutely no guest rappers, it fuses honest wordplay with lush production from Just Blaze, Nottz, and 9th Wonder, resulting in standout tracks including "The Beautiful Decay," "Like a Marathon," "Under Pressure," and "For What It's Worth." All told The Salvation is an impressive debut of down-to-earth autobiographical rap from a rising talent.

Lyrics Will Never Be The Same!......
OMG!!! Sky never, ever disappoints me! This album is an instant classic. Track #'s 1-16 are all FIRE, but my fav thus far The Opener, Dear Whoever, and also Beautiful Decay due to the vid and also me being from Bedford-Stuyvesant (Greene Ave & Clossun). True Hiphop is here, you just have to stop listening to the GARBAGE that is called "The mainstream", pull out your record players, blow the dust off them 45's and press play. Skyzoo provides this along with the Golden Era flavor!!!! S_K_Y_Z_O_O!!!!! JAMLA BABY!!!! DUCKDOWN!!!! And for all you first time listeners....buy all his mixtapes and albums!!! u will never be disapointed. RIP James "J-Dila" Yancey.

This album can be played from front to back with no skips. When you buy it, you get only SKYZOO and there is no Auto-Tune in sight. Each song holds its weight (I wish they put out a Clean Version, so I can play it around my Family). This is another Reflection Eternal "Train of Thought" underground classic.

Dam!! This album is a classic, skyzoo made history with this album, he delivered straight up. If this album dont get 5mics in the source or atleast 4 and a half im going to be pissed. this is a great album and he deffinently brought back lyrics and the true art of hiphop. Skyzoo is one of the dopest emcees in the game. Top 5 emcees, Nas, Jadakiss, Lupe fiasco, Skyzoo, and eminem.
