Customer Reviews
Hard to swallow at first.
This cd can be very difficult to listen to at first. Lots of experimental things with heavy bible stuff. The more I listen to it, the more I appreciate it. Several songs have grown on me like Empire Expired, A Heavy Burden and Full of Fools but I like them all. This one should probably not be the first Ehron Vonallen cd you get if you're just getting into it but in the end, it's one of my favorites now. The reason it's only getting 4 stars is because of it's difficulty to comprehend the first few times. It's like reading a heavy novel. There's probably not to many people out there who have the patience for such an ambitious and intellectually deep album.
Thought inspiring lyrics!
I love the thought inspiring lyrics on this album. And the dark, synthesized music sounds a little bit like Depeche Mode, and a little bit like Recoil with the deep emotional lyrics. But still unique and has it's own sound. I think this is the best of Ehron VonAllen's albums so far. -Review from Heather at CDBaby
