Taken right from the soundtracks of various films Autry starred in between 1937 and 1952, this isn't the place for new listeners to get acquainted with his work, as the fidelity isn't as good as what his studio recordings could offer. For specialists, though, it offers a number of classic cowboy tunes in their soundtrack versions, including "South of the Border," "Mexicali Rose," "Rancho Grande," and "Mule Train." Most are Autry solo turns, but some are sung with sidekicks like Smiley Burnette, or with group backing vocals.
