you must own this album

I first heard of the Smalls via a friend who went to Alberta Canada and saw them live at a dive bar. He made me a VHS cassette of this album and I have been a fan ever since. This album is slightly rough around the edges production wise, but the lyrics and music are amazing. My favorite tracks are Hay Shaker, Toughest Times, and Smiles. They have three other albums after this one and they are all great. This band is a true underground gem. Give it a listen.

The Smalls/Self-Titled

Simply raw; This album is a definete pick for one of my favorites. A brutal shame only a few sets of ears have had the pleasure of hearing and banging away to the sway and thrash of "The Smalls/self titled". These guys play together so well on this album, it makes you wanna scream. The drums, the guitar riffs, and the insane and harsh way the vocalist brings it all together with grade-A lyrics. The real treat on this album is how the lyrics are delivered; steady and sometimes layered on itself, the vocalist screams and sometimes talks it out over a stop and go classic thrash in a way you have to believe in the Smalls; I know I do.
