Astounding
This is a spectacular album. The attention to detail, musical skill, and lyrical insight that these guys pour into each song is mindblowing. The album starts out with a musical one, two, punch of the joyous "Sun and Earth," off-kilter rollicking beat of "Unbeliever," and the stunningly beautiful "The Fury." Middle Distance Runner consistently impresses with horns, understated guitar, and the lyrical poetry of Mr. Kilroy in each song. They last three songs are done in a style of a suite, each one feeding into themes of one another as they progress.
With high musical style, consistent skill, and poignant, haunting lyrics, Middle Distance Runner will leave you begging for more. I can't recommend this band any higher.

Really great album start to finish, and one of the best complete albums I've heard in a long time. I can't stop listening to it.
