A powerful album

One of the most powerful and influential albums of the decade. Streaming, sonic and searing guitar chords will leave deep wounds.....

the campaign is the most ambitious thing I've ever heard

it reeks of ambition. As a matter of fact, the next time you are feeling ambitious or productive, put this thing on and you WILL succeed. It probably helps if you know how to play drums, or guitar... or bass. The discipline these guys have with their instruments is phenomenal. They are slaves not to the melody (for there is a deliberate lack of it) nor the groove: they are slaves to the the tempo, the driving rhythm. The 3 of them are worshipping a god that we can't hear. A god they can only try to get close to by never straying from the driving force that is the security and the home from which all dynamicity must come, but they leave the dynamicity up to our imagination. They leave the hooky chorus for US to create. They create the tension and release... what so many bands sorely lack, and leave it up to us to create the transient melodies. It's the tension and release that requires the skill and flawless communication of a group of focused individuals. This song is the best demonstration of that communication I have ever heard.
