Best known for his single "She Worth the Trouble," Cali crooner J. Valentine (the self-proclaimed 'King of R&Bay') drops his debut solo album, showcasing his extra smooth vocalism and romantic player tendencies. Though not extremely well known outside of the Bay Area, this 12-track collection serves as a wake-up call for the rest of the world, giving lovelorn females everywhere a new singing stud to swoon over. There’s no doubt he's got a great voice, propelled by minimal but effective production and some quality collaborations, including Snoop Dogg on "Get With This," Twista on the self-explanatory "T&A," and Keri Hilson on "Last Night." Whether he matures into a legitimate superstar remains to be seen, but The Testimony is definitely a good start. Also check out "Climb Them Walls" and "Freaky" featuring Gucci Mane.

First let me say nobody got a voice like J. When you hear any of these songs you know it's J. Now that's been said, I love the album. Yeah it's just like alot of albums that have dropped in the last year, but in times when records companies are compiling songs and giving them to country, pop, and R&B artists at the same time, you simply can't blame the artist!!!!! I can say he did what he could and the album is worth the trouble!!!!! LOL I had the say it.... Anyway good job and can't wait to see more from him as an artist!!
