Slow down everybody
Guys. Come on. It really wasn't that good. Please don't get me wrong, I love William Fitzsimmons to the fullest; his music is inspirational, soothing, and healing for me but this song was not good. I understand his drive to push forward in his subject matter and get away from heartbreak, regret, and longing but this really isn't working for him. I understand it must always be hard for an artist to try something new but this piece of work just is not his best. He can do better. I would think it be better for him to continue in the direction of "Goodmorning" and "Maybe Be Alright" but this is just a stream of consciousness accompanied with an uneventful string part and his ever famous Glockenspiel. I still love everything he's done, though.
Another masterpiece about to appear!
If ever there was a man capable of expressing his innermost explosive yet graceful soul, William is your man. His heartfelt and pure lyrics will touch your core enabling you to connect the pieces of self with others. His last album "The Sparrow and the Crow" helped me get through 2009 and I'm very much looking forward to his new album. His first single is a taste of what is to come. Thank you William for making such beautiful music for the world to not only hear, but feel at the deepest part of self.
