Outstanding Classic Hip-Hop Extended Versions!
I can't believe these GREAT classic Freestyle / Hip-Hop jams are finally released in digital format on iTunes!!! The most important point about these songs is that these are the ORIGINAL full length vocal versions that were released on 12" vinyl records back in the 80's. These are NOT cheap rip-off short edits like you see on many "best of CD collections" on retail store shelves. I actually have all these songs on the original Tommy Boy 12" vinyl records but they are all "scratched" up from back in my DJ-ing and music mixing days. If you have any appreciation for the original ROOTS of Hip-Hop and Freestyle from the 80's and you actually know what a Technics SL1200MK2 is, then you must get these songs for your collection! Some songs on this album are VERY RARE now and can only be found here on iTunes in digital format. Excellent rare songs include Planet Patrol's "Play At Your Own Risk" and "Cheap Thrills." Get these songs while you can before they go out of print again!

If you had the original album "Greatest Beats" that was released in the 80's then you have probably been looking for some of these joints in digital form for years. -As have I. Finally it's here. Those other Tommy Boy greatest hits cd's were good too, but they didn't include full length versions. I have been looking for a clean copy of the megamix, too! Yay!!!!! Great bargain for such a collection of classics! Buy it!
