There should be more...
artists like Javier Colon. After a commercial recording contract where labels tried to form him into an artist that sounds like every other artist, he came through that and put ego aside and went on a show like "The Voice" - which is incredibly humbling for an established singer to do. He sounds amazing. True to his personal style, he is a rare talent and a reminder that big labels are missing the talent that is here. Winner or not, I will purchase anything he sells from the moment I saw him stripped down and honest singing, "Time after Time." Best of luck, Javier. I am a believer.
An absolute genius
Javiers talent is truly a rare kind. In an age when less and less skill is required or even request of musicians, Javier delivers anyways. A beautiful singer, guitar player, writer, story teller, and a downright great guy. If you ever have the chance to see one of his shows live then you'll really understand. He sounds EXACTLY like this live. Honestly amazing.

The music on this EP reminds me of home. Of what it is to be married, to have children and the simple Beauty of living life day in and day out. Of being an artist who just wants to share that little bit of home through song. I truly love this album, I love his stories and his gripping honesty and I appreciate that his road has been a long one, full of it's own twists and dissappointments. To me, this is what makes him a truly accessible artist and like other reviewers before me, I will gladly support this man's music. Because it's music that actually means something.
