Album Review
Fans who prefer a little bit more material and/or Vandross' earlier era might be more satisfied sticking with the 20-song The Best of Luther Vandross, which only goes up to the late '80s in its coverage. However, The Ultimate Luther Vandross is his best single-disc compilation, with 17 songs from 1981-1994, 13 of which were Top Ten R&B hits. Naturally, his big Top Ten pop hits, "Here and Now," "Power of Love/Love Power," and "Don't Want to Be a Fool," are here.

Soothing, Relaxing and Romantic
Luther Vandross's voice and songs have ways of creating a soothing, relaxing and romantic enviroment especially in our current stressful lives. His clear voice and intonations are excellent. Although the slower songs remain my personal favorites, the up-tempo ones are good, too. He so deserves more than he's taken credit for. GREAT ALBUM.
