Majestic
I really like Tommy Patzius (I hope to do a duet with him someday) and this album shows off the wonderful talent he has! <3
A great start.
From the infectious sound to the incredibly catchy lyrics, this EP is a promising start for an artist with some serious potential. Each track has its own personality, a collection of very diverse sounds put together into one amalgamation of electronic goodness.
The instrumentals and lyrics aren't cliche, but they're also not revolutionary or earth-shattering. However, this doesn't stop the EP from being truly great. Patzius takes everything he has and puts it together into a very sincere collection of pop songs. The auto-tune is very clean and fits the tracks, not being overwhelming or obnoxious. Everything here just *fits*, and it *works*. Not many people can say that about a lot of independent electronic artists.
With each track, you're introduced to a new experience. From the minimalistic feel of Indian Summer to the ferocious and unrelenting blast of energy from U Bad Girl, there's quite a bit of variety here. There's sugary synths and the occasional unexpected bite now and then, which keeps things refreshing and unpredictable.
This is a fantastic building block for this independent artist, and I'm absolutely eager for future work and growth.
