Amazing.
by Mainpa215I'll keep this short because others have extensively covered this album with detail. This Moneen release is their best yet. There are several extremely powerful, melodic tracks throughout the album. It is simply just a pleasure to listen to. Buy it and listen to it all in one sitting at first. I am floored an happy that Moneen is still around.
Just saw these guys LIVE in Portland.........
by golfguy3I went to a show last night to see "Say Anything" and I say Moneen and I thought I was there to see these guys as the main act they were AWESOME!! The CD is sweet and the band signed it for me and they were a bunch of chill down to earth guys!! I am now a new fan but better now then never I also bought "Red Tree" which is also a SWEET album!! Don't read this review no more just hit the buy button......

by travis_113poh moneen. where to begin? each album these guys put out is amazing...to say the least. and this album is no exception.
the album starts out with a slow, almost explosions in the sky-esque opener with a huge build up to a rocking second track, "Hold That Sound," one of the heavier tracks on the album that really gets the listener going.
some long time moneen listeners might be disappointed in the lack of rock out, adrenaline pumpers that were present on moneen's previous albums. but that doesn't mean this album lacks the emotion or dynamic (and time signature) changes that made moneen, well, moneen. a lot of tracks are a little slower and more orchestrated, but are incredibly well produced. and you can't get a full feel for the album unless you give it a good, full attention head-phone listen (highly recommended).
a few standout tracks: Hold That Sound; The Great Escape; Redefine; The Long Count; Waterfalls; Red Eyes; and The Glass House.
i had a very hard time picking "standout tracks," which can be seen by my large list (7 tracks) of favorites. that, itself, shows how much i am in love with this album. it's an outstanding album and definitely a must buy.
