You Used to Call My Name Every Hour of Every Day

Motion City Soundtrack is easily one of my top five favorite bands ever - I don't know that I've ever come across a song of theirs that I didn't like. That being said, "The Worst Part..." is one of my all-time favorite songs by MCS. It's not the usual loud, fast MCS sound, but that's okay. The music is absolutely gorgeous, and the lyrics are so beautiful and sad. I'm not exactly sure how it fit in with Superman (that movie was so boring I stopped watching it 25 minutes through), but it is a masterpiece and a beauty in and of itself.

A leading light in the punk-pop genre, Motion City Soundtrack includes members Joshua Cain (guitar), Tony Thaxton (drums), Justin Pierre (vocals/guitar), Jesse Johnson (Moog), and Matthew Taylor (bass). Following their high-school graduation, Minneapolis natives Pierre and Cain — both of whom were inspired by Sunny Day Real Estate, Jawbox, the Flaming Lips, and Superchunk — formed the band in 1999.
